This Privacy Policy provides our policies and procedures for collecting, using, and disclosing your information. Users can access Aurita's Secure Data Apps Service (the “Service”) through our applications on devices.
A “device” is any computer used to access Aurita's Secure Data Apps Service, including without limitation a desktop, notebook, mobile phone, tablet, or other consumer electronic device. This Privacy Policy governs your access of the Service, regardless of how you access it, and by using our Service you consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and other uses described in this Privacy Policy. All of the different forms of data and information described below are collectively referred to as “information”.
Our aim is to provide you with a secure place where you can keep your sensitive data safely protected from access by others. This includes us. Therefore we don’t save your Master Key (Password) anywhere and don’t keep any personal information from you as long as you don’t ask us explicitly to do so.
As managers of the Service, we will inevitably collect and store some or all of the following information – depending on which parts of the service you use.
When you set a recovery email address we collect and store this
email address and the information about which files are linked to
it.
If you purchase sync packages we collect and store the
billing information we get from Google or PayPal (depending on
purchase type). If you have privacy concerns consider using anonymous
paying methods like prepaid credit cards or vouchers.
We store the files you sync to our servers. Your data is secure and encrypted with the highest standard of encryption. We never store the relating encryption keys or passwords. Therefore we are unable to unlock your data and disclose it to others – or help you in case you forget it.
When you use the Service, we store date and time stamps associated with transactions and other interactions with the Service.
WE DON'T STORE information from your device, its software, the Device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, your browser type, the web page visited before you came to our website, information you search for on our website, locale preferences, identification numbers associated with your Devices, or your mobile carrier.
We may use cookies on our websites to hold login data only for the duration of the current login session.
We respect your privacy. Knowing that we probably miss out on some marketing possibilities, we don’t save any personal information about you if you don’t explicitly ask us to do so.
Please keep in mind that the information provided within the “Me/Profile” section of the Keypa Service is visible to all Keypa users you are connected to and us. We don’t have the ability to contact you unless you provide us with a Keypa Mail-Token.
We don’t collect any Geo-Location Information. If you save data containing Geo-Location Information (like photos from your Device’s camera) in an encrypted file, this information gets encrypted together with the data and is not available to us.
Our prime principle is to respect your privacy. Consequently we only collect data needed to run the Service. We do not sell any of your provided data to third parties.
Through certain features of the Service you may have the ability to
share some of your information with others.
The only public
information is your Mail profile (if using Keypa Messaging). Any
information you choose to share should reflect how much you want
others to know about you.
We may use certain trusted third party companies and individuals to help us provide, analyze, and improve our Service (including but not limited to data storage, maintenance services, database management, web analytics, payment processing, and improvement of the Service’s features). These third parties may have access to your physical data (only for purposes of performing these tasks on our behalf and under obligations similar to those in this Privacy Policy) but not to the information stored within your files (Secure Data Boxes) as they are secure encrypted.
We may disclose to parties outside data you stored on our servers when
we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to
comply with a law, regulation or compulsory legal request.
We
won’t remove any encryption as this is impossible for us.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, but we will notify you (for example, via a prominent notice within our applications) of any change in control or use of your files, or if either become subject to a different Privacy Policy. We will also notify you of choices you may have regarding the information.
We may disclose your non-private, aggregated, or otherwise non-personal information, such as usage statistics of our Service.
Our Services are built in a way that makes it impossible for us to connect stored data to a certain user account. We are unable to delete your data from our servers (unless you have provided us with a recovery email address). But you can always change or delete your information yourself on your local device and sync the file. All data is physically erased from server-replications.
Our Service may offer publicly accessible community services such as
blogs, forums, and wikis. Some of these services may require an
account (which is not connected to your Secure Data Boxes).
You
should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be
read, collected, and used by others who access them. Your posts may
remain even after you cancel your account.
Our Website and Applications may include links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Aurita. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy statements. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy statement of any website you visit.
The security of your information is important to us. For that reason we keep your information securely encrypted. If you have any questions about security on our website or in our Service, please contact us.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the apps, please contact us via Keypa (Mail Token and Mail-ID: Keypa Support) or via email (apps@aurita.com.au). Some additional privacy information can be found on our broader Aurita Privacy Policy, including links to specific privacy policies of other apps we've published.
This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We won't bother you with updates to contact email addresses or a change in the shade of blue used in the header, but if we make
meaningful changes to this Privacy Policy, we will provide you with a prominent
notice within our Applications. By continuing to use the Service after
those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised
Privacy Policy.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will we ever change our policy
in regard to data encryption. We will never keep your data stored in
your files unencrypted on our servers. We guarantee that we will
never connect your data to other entities as long as you do not
explicitly ask us to do so (like by connecting email addresses).
